Alfred was born February 17, 1940 to Margaret (Etten-Motl) Polasky and Ralph Polasky in Tappen, ND. Alfred was the 8th child of 14 children. He graduated from Tappen High School and then joined the National Guard. She grew up in the Grace City area, where she attended school and graduated in 1968.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Franklin Fancher; one grandson, Joseph “B.J.” Fancher; one brother, James O. Akers; and four sisters, Nellie Marie Akers, Sylvia Akers, Dylvia Akers, and Blondie Angel. Mrs. Fancher was a member of Church of God of Prophecy of Ramseur, NC and she was a home maker. Eldon Mallow, 88, of Miller Road, Clearville, PA; passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at home. He was born on September 7, 1934 in Onego, West Virginia; a son of the late Owen and Ollie Mabel Mallow. On February 3, 1956 he married Rachael Lenora Mallow; she preceded him in death on March 18, 1969. He then married Angeline Joy Mallow on January 2, 1971 in Greencastle, PA; she preceded him in death on March 28, 2022. Beloved wife of John Jenkins, loving mother of Karen Karnuth, John Jenkins, Jr., Rebecca Jenkins-Peters.

Sandra and her family moved to Grand Forks, ND where she entered the 7th grade at South Junior High in 1950. She entered UND in 1956 and became an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
